ORIENTAL RUGS AND CARPETS

The SYRIANS have historically used the most basic of looms to manually spin and weave rugs from cotton, wool and goat hair. The silks of this craft were picked up by Damascene artisans who have revived the art of using the old wooden loom to make decorative rugs.
